MAC Extra Dimension Skin Finish - Whisper of Gilt

This powder compact is part of the MAC extra dimension collection. It's a limited edition and supposedly really similar in texture to the Estee Lauder powder galee. This shade is called Whisper of Gilt and is golden toned. So probably more suited for those with yellow undertone.

You can see in the swatch below, left one is blended and right one is unblended. It gives a beautiful sheen on the skin. I don't really wear highlighter, so I can't really compare it to other highlighter, but it sure is pretty.

Skin 79 Absolute Total BB cream

Coverage: Sheer
finish : Dewy
oil-control : Poor
texture : creamy and thick, hard to blend.
color: I'm probably a NC20, and it's blending in fine.
smell: soft floral fragrance that disappear after application.

This is the first BB cream that I've tried. For my oily skin, I don't feel any oil control. (I've read a review that state it has good oil control, but it's not working on my skin). The finish is dewy and looks like my skin, but better. I like it!

Final verdict: Although I like the finish, I need better coverage and oil control. And so, the search go on...

Coogi Flowertox BB cream

Coverage: Medium
finish : Matte
oil-control : good (minimum oil after 7 hours)
texture : creamy liquid, so it's somewhat easier to apply and blend.
color: I'm probably a NC20, and I feel that this is a bit too pale for me. But still workable.

Overall I think this BB cream has good oil control, I put it on before work at 6:30-ish, and when I blot around 2pm, I have minimal oil on the bloting sheet. Usually I need 2 sheet around that time.

I'm not too fond of the result though, I prefer a more dewy finish. But I'm impressed by the oil control =)
The other BB cream I've tried (skin 79 absolute total) has very poor oily control for me. It does have a dewy finish though. I'll review that one later =)
